Tybring is a criminal law litigator with over 15 years of experience. He received his law degree from the University of Victoria in 1992 and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1993 after articling with McKimm & Lott.
Tybring has successfully argued cases before the Provincial, Supreme and Appeals Courts of British Columbia. Tybring has defended clients on a wide variety of criminal charges, including impaired and other driving offences, assault, theft, fraud and drug charges.
Tybring is also associated with the Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria as an Instructor in the Clinical Law Program or “Law Centre”, a legal clinic staffed by law students that provides free legal service to people with insufficient means to retain a lawyer otherwise. Tybring brings his experience to bear to assist and supervise students in the conduct of files.
Since McKimm & Lott have offices in both Sidney and on Salt Spring Island, Tybring is able, and regularly does, appear in person to represent clients in Ganges Provincial Court.
